The Marcy Recumbent Mag Cycle is a full back recumbent pedaling machine in black, gray, and brown finish. It comes with over eight levels of preset resistance. In addition, the recumbent cycle has a tension knob which is very easy to adjust, and allows for different fitness levels. There is also a console display that will keep track of calories burned, time so far spent, distance traveled, and current speed. The Marcy also comes with a number of changeable features, including counterbalanced pedals, adjustable foot straps, and built-in transport wheels. Finally, it weighs only 66 pounds and is relatively small compared to other cycles on the market, making it an excellent addition to a cramped living space.
I purchased this for an older, overweight relative that has been asking me to get some kind of in home exercise machine for her. I settled on the Marcy Recumbent Mag Cycle after reading through several reviews on this and other bikes. While the size and weight originally won me over, I was surprised at how easy set up and installation was. My relative got on, and it took very little time to explain to her how to operate the machine. After a while, she got it, and she is terrible at anything related to electronics.
The best part of this bike so far has been that it is reliable, and hasn’t yet shown signs of ware. As my relative gets healthier, she is no doubt putting more strain on the machine through extended workouts, and so far there haven’t been any problems. She reports that it is easy to use, and not to challenging for her weakened knees. My advice to anyone buying this bike is to shop around and see if you can get a deal on it. It is less expensive then other bikes, but there is also a great chance you may save even more money.
