The Nautilus R514 Recumbent Exercise Bike is a sturdy indoor exercise bike that is finished in gray and black coloring. Included with the bike are a total of 16 different resistance levels. This is in addition to a 20-pound flywheel. There are 7 possible profile courses as well as two user profiles. Finally, there are a total of 20 programs that can be accessed. In addition to programs, there are a number of heart rate programs that include telemetry as well as a chest belt. There is also a powerful fan built into the bike. The Nautilus comes with a 300-pound maximum weight limit, 10-year warranty on the frame, 2-year warranty on the parts, and 1-year warranty on the electronics.
Lets get straight to the point. I’m struggling with my weight as well as some lower back issues. When I first got this bike, I nearly passed on it because of the 300-pound max weight limit, as I was nearing it. I’ve had it for a while now, and I have to say that I am impressed (as well as getting in shape!) Set up was not complicated, and only took me less then an afternoon. It is easy to move, and I most enjoy the user profiles, as well as the variety of programs available. It is way to easy to become bored while indoors cycling, and this helps with that.
My only problem with the bicycle is that there were a number of pages missing from the instructional sheet, making assembly a little tricky. Beyond that, all I can say to those looking to buy a bike is that this is a good investment. I’ve been using to get healthier and to lose weight, and so far it has not let me down.
