The Schwinn 230 Recumbent Bike is a stationary bike that is compact and comfortable. There are 6 preset programs along with 16 possible resistance levels. All programming is done on an LCD monitor that also displays among other things the speed, calories burned, and distance. The seat provides lumbar support, as well as a fore and aft seat slider. On top of this are handlebars with heart rate grips capable of recording the heart rate of the user. In addition to this, the Schwinn 230 Recumbent Bike includes a water bottle holder, 1 one year warranty that covers mechanical and electrical problems, and a 10 year warranty covering the frame.
My primary concern when purchasing the Schwinn 230 Recumbent Bike was to look for a bike that I could do numerous things with, like read or watch TV. In addition, I wanted something that could fit within my apartment without taking up all available space. I couldn’t have been more pleased. In fact, my favorite part about it is the design and overall look. The black and gray finish fits well in my living room, and looks fantastic. In addition, I’ve been having fun with the variable options and workouts.
From what I have read of other users, I seemed to have dodged one of its biggest cons. That is to say, I had no problems with the shipping. Others however, didn’t seem to be lucky and ended up receiving their bikes after a long weight. Be sure to keep this in mind, especially if you need a bike within a certain deadline. In addition, if I had to think of a complaint, it is that there is no backlight for the display. This can sometimes make it annoying to see, especially if my living room isn’t properly lit.
