Folks who are serious about their bicycles – both riding and recumbent exercise – know that Schwinn is the top of the line. Schwinn’s home exercise equipment comes from a well known manufacturer with all of the quality you’ve come to expect from a Schwinn product. The Schwinn A20 Recumbent Exercise Bike is the entry level model offered and you can count on the quality you know you’ll receive from Schwinn. In order to track your vital workout information, this model offers an easy to view display system so you can track your RPMs, speed, pulse rate and how many calories you’ve burned during your workout.
We totally liked just about everything about this particular piece of recumbent exercise equipment. While this model doesn’t have the number of pre-programmed exercise regimens or resistance levels, we do find this bike to be remarkable compared to other, similarly priced recumbent bikes. There were not a ton of parts with which to contend and – BONUS! – All the tools needed to assemble this bike are included in the box. You can easily put this together on your own, but an extra set of hands is really helpful. Assembly takes about an hour and the instructions are concise and easy to follow. Adjusting the seat for persons of differing heights is a snap, so there’s lots of versatility there. This model features water bottle and book holders, and we expect that an e-reader could easily be used in the book holder. This unit is easy to use, very quiet, comfortable and solid. You just feel good using it. The seat and back are padded which is a nice touch. Both the resistance levels and the pre-programmed courses are easy to adjust. With the pricing of this bike, the quality you receive and the ease of use, you can’t go wrong with this Schwinn model.
